 Before now, drunkenness use to be rated as the root cause of major fatal accidents, especially the once connected to traffic. Although so many road accidents are traced to most drunk drivers. The truth is that more than 45% of certain road accidents is caused by drunkenness. As a result of the driver been intoxicated by alcoholic drinks. Yet it is quite surprising that today, research has discovered a more calamitous cause of accident, that is more devastating and ruinous than drunkenness. This change in our emotion will produce an immediate change in our behavior and can automatically affect our reasoning and actions. Emotion sever as a motivator that move an individual into actions. It also affect our relationship with people around us. Another thing you need to know about emotion is that it influences our decision-making. Hence, emotion is very crucial for overall well-being, personal growth and development and in social connections and relationships. Therefore, anything that shifts our emotion from it's good and desirable attributes may be regarded to emotional imbalance. This brings us to the second aspect of this content;
   
                        WHAT IS EMOTIONAL IMBALANCE?
Emotional imbalance is therefore an interruption in a person's emotional well-being, making it very difficult for the person to manage his or her emotion. When this emotional imbalance sets in, the outcome is a negative and non-friendly behaviors. You should understand that it may not be regarded as emotional imbalance, if you can manage it, but once you can no longer control or manage your emotion, it has become an emotional imbalance, and such a condition is both calamitous and devastating. Some one may seem to be positive now, but within some minutes, he becomes negative, this is as a result of imbalance in the person's emotion. Emotional imbalance has a lot of negative impacts as it is the major cause of so many problems in the world  in which we live. Both deaths, wars, fighting and so on, can be traced back to emotional imbalance.  This imbalance in the emotion is characterized by mood swing, emotional reactivity, difficulty regulating emotion and increased stress. 4. Lifestyle factors: Certain way of life such as; lack of exercise, drunkenness, poor sleep, unhealthy diet and soon on can also contribute to emotional imbalance.

When these factors have gotten advantage over your life, it means your emotion is no longer normal and some thing must be done urgently, if not there will always be a negative result from anything you want to do under such predicament. In such condition, do not ever try to drive, if you are a driver or sail if you are a sailor or control any flight if you are a pilot, even if you are to move by foot, it is also dangerous. Obviously, when your discover that your emotion is no longer balance or has shifted from normalcy, entering the road as a driver or entering a ship as a sailor or the air plane as a pilot, is like someone that want to take his ticket to the land of the dead. It is like someone that want to commit suicide. Hence below are the various ways emotional imbalance can be connected to accident;

1. DISTRACTION: Emotional imbalance leads to distractions which can increase the risk of fatal accident. It makes the mind not to concentrate or focus, thereby making the person to loss carefulness. 

2. IMPULSIVENESS: Emotional imbalance also lead to impulsive decisions and this can increase the risk of accident, especially when carefulness is supposed to be applied.

3.TREMORS OR SHAKINESS: Emotional imbalance from stress have the tendency of increasing tremors or shakiness, this condition can even affect motor skills thereby increasing the risk of accident.

4. DECREASED REACTION TIME: Emotional imbalance has a way of reducing reaction times and this will make it very difficult for the person to respond to unexpected dangerous situations. This also increases the risk of fatal accident.

5. AGGRESSIVENESS: Emotional imbalance due to anger or provocations can lead to aggressive behavior, this may contribute to reckless driving and aggressive interactions with people, hence increasing the risk of fatal accident.

6. TRILL-SEEKING BEHAVIOR: By trying to engage in trill-seeking behavior, so as to cope with imbalance in emotion, some one may run into accident.

4. Learn the art of happiness: Happiness has a way of improving your emotion positively by impacting your mood, and improving your concentration and focus. This go along way to reduce accident risk. But don't drive when you are extremely exhilarated.
       
5. Practice mindfulness: Being conscious and aware of the situations around you will help you to regain focus, manage emotion, thus reducing accident risk.
   
6. Exercise regularly: Involving yourself on regular exercise is another way to improve your emotion, thereby managing emotional imbalance.
     
7. Practice tolerance and endurance: By practicing tolerance, such situations that may lead to anger, sadness and quarrelling, can easily be handled, thereby helping to manage your emotion.

8.Avoid too much stress: Too much stress leads to emotional imbalance, which increases the risk of accident, thus by running away from stress, you can manage this situation.

9. Study people around you: When you study people around you and master their individual characteristics and differences, it will help you to know how to relate with each other, thereby controlling mood swing.
  
In summary, there are many factors that can contribute to accident, but emotional imbalance has become the most dangerous amongst them all. This is due to the fact that a lot of things going on around us can change our emotion easily, thereby impacting negatively to our thought, reasoning, attitude and entire life. From governmental, economical, political, social and environmental challenges around us, there are provocations all over. All this can lead to emotional imbalance. But in all, try to manage your emotion, because this a the greatest accident security you can have. Don't  say that you want to use drunkenness to control your emotion, if not you cause yourself more harm than good, thus putting your life in danger.
