Blood shortage is one of the most dangerous health challenges because of the significant importance of blood in the human body system. When the level of the volume of blood in the human body go down, the chances to survival is likely too slime. Thus, I want to focus today's lecture by providing answer to the following questions that will form the basis of our discussion:

2. What causes blood shortage in the body?

3. What are the grave consequences of blood shortage?

4. How can you know when there is shortage of blood in your body?

5. What are the 8 food items that can increase blood stream?

Now we are good to go:

1.          WHAT IS BLOOD SHORTAGE?

The concept of blood shortage didn't start today and it is a condition that occurs whenever the availability of blood in the body cannot meetup to its demand by the body organs, tissues and systems. It simply means that the demand of the blood by the body is far much greater than the supply of blood. In such condition, the body will witness insufficient blood supply and such situation is both dangerous and deadly. This can happen because of so many factors and reasons. This brought us to the next question.

2.        WHAT CAUSES BLOOD SHORTAGE IN THE BODY?

  A lot of factors and reasons may be responsible for  the shortage of blood in the human body, and some of these factors include;

(a) Increase in blood demand: Some conditions like outbreak of pandemics, accidents and natural disasters can lead to too much blood lose, thereby making the body to have high demand of blood. 

(b)  Blood shelf life: Since the blood has a limited shelf life, typically 42 days for the whole body, this can lead to blood shortage if not properly managed.

(c)  Specific blood type: Blood types like O-negative or AB-negative, may be in short supply due to limited donor availability.

(d) Donor unavailability: When there is no blood donor, there is likely to be blood shortage, especially during some health issues that demand blood donation.

Note; whenever there is blood shortage in the body, the negative impact is usually deadly. This ushers us into the next question right here:

3.        WHAT ARE THE GRAVE CONSEQUENCES OF BLOOD SHORTAGE?

As has been noted earlier, the consequences of blood shortage in the body of every human being is too ruinous with catastrophic effects that can lead to loss of life. Below are some of the grave consequences of blood shortage;

(c) Shortage of blood can lead to strain on healthcare facilities and staff, that is to say, it can slow down their roles and functions.

(d) It can lead to anemia, a critical health issue that can lead to loss of life.

 delivery.

(f) Shortage of blood can lead to total body weakness and fatigue.

(g) Shortage of blood can change the appearance of the skin, making it to appear pale.

(h) It can lead to a general heart problems, like heart attack and heart failure.

(i) There is no hard saying that shortage of blood can lead to immediate loss of life.

(b) Headaches: Headaches are usually experienced whenever there is a reduction in the amount of oxygen flowing into the brain. Thus, shortage of blood lowers the oxygen flow to the brain. Then, whenever you notice consistent headaches, it is obvious that you may be having blood shortage.

(c) Shortness of breath: Shortage of blood in the body can lead to shortage of breath, this is due to the reduction in the amount of oxygen in the blood.
