RESTORING THE GLORY OF NIGERIA AS OUR FATHER LAND

Hello, the good members of this blog family, here comes an important topic which I want every well-meaning and good Nigerian to consider with me today. This topic is not meant to instigate or stand as a mainspring to any form of violence, tribalism or segregation among any good Nigerians, but at the same time, it is meant to stand as a souvenir to us all as citizens of this great country, to see the need to work passionately towards the restoration of the past glory of our dear great nation, Nigeria. As a good citizen of this country, a retroflex into this country will clearly tell you that our dear country has indeed lost her glory and needs to be restored for the good of us all. At this point, can we now dive into the main topic for the day;

RESTORING THE GLORY OF NIGERIA   AS OUR FATHER LAND
The heartbeat and burning desire in of every well-meaning citizen of this country   every day should be, how we can get back to our original position, state and glory in this country, Nigeria. If you are more than 25 years old in this country presently, you will understand what I am talking about better than the children of   yesterday. As I heard about Nigeria of the 80s, also as I saw and knew the Nigeria of 90s, I now made a comparison with the present Nigeria, I therefore saw the  need  to publish this content, so that every patriotic citizen of this blessed nation, can follow me to see if there is anything we can do towards the restoration of our countries past glory.Obviously, if you look into our dear nation with the same eyes and understand things with the same mentality, I used in understanding how things are now moving, you will believe with me that things are different right now. Where are those days when our economy was stabilized, and everybody was living happily in this same country, without criticizing or protesting against and government? Where are those glorious days when our youths were gainfully employed and there was nothing like prostitution, kidnapping, child trafficking, armed robbery, money rituals, internet fraud or yahoo, money laundering, cultism and so on? Can somebody tell me, where are those days when a liter of petrol was sold at thirty naira (#30) and were of high quality, that my father then can just buy a liter of petrol, and we will use it to watch two consecutive super eagles matches during that time of Taribo West, Sunday Olisa, Daniel Amukachi, Ike Shoromi and so on. Where are those beautiful days when with just fifty naira (#50), the father of the house can feed his family and still have reserve to take one bottle out there? Where are those days when our fathers can buy a bicycle with just thirty-two naira (#32) and those bicycles are still strong till today. Oh, let someone answer me, where are those good days when our fathers can buy a quality generator and a television set with just two hundred naira (#200) and two hundred and fifty naira (#250) respectively and still remain as big men? I can't find those days again when with twenty-five naira (#25), you have bought a cup of rice with the ingredients, and you will eat the same rice up to three times and be satisfied. Where can I find   those days again when a bag of cement was one hundred naira (#100) and with ten thousand naira (#10,000), the man has built and furnished his bungalow of five rooms. Where are those days when education was totally free, and our children were very happy going to school because after school, there was hope for employment. I need those days back, when with one thousand naira (#1,000), you can buy a quality material for clothing and after using those clothes, the parents will leave them for their sons and daughters, and their grandchildren. Where are those days, when our fathers fully enjoyed the dividend of democracy and were very happy to participate on elections. Where are those days, when the citizens of this nation were always ready to defend their father land both young and old, without shame or fear of answering a Nigerian. Obviously, I can't lair, I can no longer see those days, when I will leave everything I was doing to watch my beloved super eagle's players as they are performing in the field, and I will be somewhere praying for their victory, I use to cry whenever they defeated our super eagles then, but today, I don't find the need to even watch nor even crying on their defeat, but obviously, I need those days back. Where are those days, when singing our national anthem and our glorious pledge was giving me joy because they were very meaningful to me and were practically demonstrated by both our leaders and the followers. Because indeed, we were ready to defend her unity. Where are those days, when if I heard that our president will be making a speech on television, I will disturb my father, and he must put our black and white television on, for me to watch my president making his speeches and my heart will be filled with gladness even if I didn't eat. Those days of President Shehu Shagari, General Ibrahim Babangida, General Abdu salami Abubakar, President Olusegun Obasanjo, President Umaru Musa Yar-dua and my man President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Where are those days when every Nigerian was happy to listen to the president's speech without fear of heart attack. Where are those days when everybody was ready to fight anyone that makes caricature of our political leaders or our dear nation. We can no longer see those days, when seeing our national flag gives us joy, because it's actual meaning was interpreted. I personally want to see those days again, when our fathers were becoming wealthy through agriculture and there was food all over the nation, farmers were not afraid of herdsman attack, Boko haram attack or Lukarawa attack. Those days, farming was given our fathers joy, because the materials were available, accessible and affordable, they were not shared tribalistically. Where are those days, when our political leaders were mindful of the better life of the citizens and was not giving any room for self interest in distribution of allocation or palliatives, those days of our glory, the leaders were not defrauding us or pushing our money to abroad for their own interest alone. Where are those days, when our young ladies were not afraid of who will pay their bride price, because with hundred thousand naira (#100,000), a young man is ready to conduct a fantastic traditional marriage ceremony. Where are those days, when if you call me a Nigerian once, I will proudly answer you five times. Oh, I still desire those days, when Nigerians abroad were respected, because we were indeed the giant of Africa and the whole nations depended on our natural resources to survive. What shall I now say, I am indeed short of words, because I am now yet to believe the statement of my Academic mentor Prof. Chinua Achebe, when he affirmed that "THINGS HAS FALLEN APART." Dear good and well-meaning Nigerians, we cannot just allow our father land to die off and go into extinction, because this is our home. At the same time, we cannot sit back and watch the effort of our patriotic leaders of the past to be smashed. It is time for us to think back, think forward and rise up towards the  RESTORATION OF THE GLORY OF NIGERIA AS OUR FATHER LAND
Meanwhile, we cannot continue to blame anyone for now, nor be waiting for our old,   aged leaders, we should therefore think critically to see if there will be any formula, strategy, tactics that can help us to return back to where we are coming
from. Remember, my blog spot is not and cannot by any way encourage anything that will not help us to remain, peaceful, joyful, happy and prosperous in this our father land. Remember to comment at the comment section, if you have anything that can help us to actualize this our precious desire, and your comment will help me to improve  the quality of this blog.
Till I come back again, stay tuned, remain connected for more is yet to come. Always
